Winery Review: Brilliant garnet red color. Red fruits and spices on the nose. The mouth reveals rounded tannins (thanks to the stay in the oak barrels), a warm and full-bodied wine with an uncommon and lasting aromatic intensity. The proof that Cotes-du-Rhone can be a serious and elegant wine.
My Review: on the nose I could smell the spice of this wine. It was like cyan and peprica. I liked that. The wine was smooth in my mouth and dry. I could taste the spice and it burned the back of my mouth. I thought it was too alcoholic and one dimensional. However I did get some vanilla in this wine, and later I found it was aged in an oak barrel so that was nice.
